What’s happening at the Sustainability Market?

Material collections
Bring your unwanted items that can be reused, repurposed or are difficult to recycle. We have consolidated all accepted items from all collectors into one list. Please read it carefully as each organization will be at their own tent:
- Reduce Waste Chicago: Various household items for reuse, repurposing or recycling.
- EcoShip: Gently used packing and shipping material for redistribution.
- Flat Can Recycling: Large-scale household items and chemicals.
- Cradles to Crayons: Clothing, shoes and sneakers.
- Rebuilding Exchange: Door and cabinet hardware, wall hooks & latches.
- That’s Not Garbage: Orange plastic subscription bottles
- The Struggling Black Girl Magic Club: Skates, skateboards, manual scooters and parts.
- Working Bikes: Bicycles, parts, frames, tools, accessories and helmets.

Halloween costume swap
Looking for a costume for the trick-or-treater in your life? Or how about unloading an old one? Check out the costume swap! New costumes are free to take and unclaimed costumes will go to Conscious Costume for their annual swap. Adult, children and pet costumes accepted.

Food & Drink
Enjoy authentic tamales and aqua frescas from Tamales Express and free canned water provided by Open Water. Food and drinks will be served in compostable and recyclable materials, with on-site services provided by WasteNot Compost.

Live music & community vibes
Come for the sustainability, stay for the community! Enjoy live a performance by local band Ravenswood (2-4 p.m.) while you shop, learn, and connect with like-minded neighbors.
